Mask of Thanatos

Lyte’s mask is a fierce looking one. The mask itself is only black and white, but upon activation the eyes seem to turn black with white pupils, giving an other worldly look, just as his previous bankai did.

Unlike with most Vizard mask’s, Lyte’s mask does more than just appear on his face. Upon activation, some of Thanatos’ armor appears on Lyte, giving him the metallic and boney black and red armor over his hands and left shoulder.

Cero: Lytes cero comes from the center of his palm. It is manifested from his reiatsu, appearing as a deep purple color. The appearance of the cero looks almost like a fireball because when the reiatsu is being manipulated in Lyte’s hand it seems to wave just as fire does, however when fired, the Cero looks much a pure ball of energy that travels at high speeds. Most would resemble its appearance to a meteorite or a shooting star, save for the color. The center of his cero is actually pure white, and it fades out to the deeper purple closer to the edges, however this is only noticed once the creo has been fired.

Thanatos has a very demonic appearance. Several horns, or spikes rather, reside on his hair line. His hair is short and white, which is always worn spiked up. His pale skin tone makes him look almost like a plague, and the red and black runic markings on his flash make him look even more like a demon. The markings pulsate between both red and black, appearing like Lava to some. His left and right arms mimic each other with devilish gauntlets, however his left shoulder seems to have an armor made of the same bones that make up the rest of his demonic flesh armor.

Personality: Thanatos is a ruthless being. Always wanting to fight and show his strength and skill, Thanatos is both cold and heartless. Living for the heart of combat, Thanatos could care less about protecting others or fighting for a purpose. All he wants is to kill or be killed. He believes that spilled blood is the best kind, whether its friend or foe, he doesn’t care, just so long as he is the one who does the damage.

Thanatos is more than just a cold blooded killing machine however. He is very precise, very smart, very calculating. No energy wasted, and no movement taken for granted. His skill and experience with a sword makes him a very deadly opponent, or a wonderful ally, however if allied with him, do not expect yourself safe, after all he is just as likely to kill you than the enemy.

Corruption: After Lyte’s Zanpakutou broke, he searched for answers as to what to do next. He ended up coming across a group of “renegades” who agreed to help Lyte in a new search for strength. It was this time that Lyte’s inner hollow, Thanatos, was released. After fighting for control over Lyte’s body, Thanatos agreed to give Lyte some of his powers, and utilize his Hollow Mask, however the battle for control was not over by a long shot.
